Learn more about the microscope using these hands-on diagrams of microscope that we have collected for you in high quality! In these 101 Diagramss, the detailed structures of the microscope are illustrated in a high quality pictures. A microscope is an instrument widely to magnify and resolve the image of an object that is hard to see with naked eyes. This tool is commonly used in a microbiological laboratory and is uses for the study of organisms. To know more about the details of a microscope, follow these 101 Diagramss posted below.

Microscopes can be separated into several different classes. One grouping is based on what interacts with the sample to generate the image. One of the types is compound microscope. A high power or compound microscope achieves higher levels of magnification than a stereo or low power microscope. It is used to view smaller specimens such as cell structures which cannot be seen at lower levels of magnification. A compound microscope consists of structural and optical components. These key microscope parts are illustrated and explained in the diagrams of microscope below.

The compound microscope has two systems of lenses for greater magnification. The first set of lenses are the oculars, or eyepieces, that the viewer looks into; the second set of lenses are the objectives, the lenses closest to the object (specimen). The three basic components of a compound microscope are the head, base and arm. Head or body houses the optical parts in the upper part of the microscope. Meanwhile, base of the microscope supports the microscope and houses the illuminator. Arm connects to the base and supports the microscope head. It is also used to carry the microscope. Optical microscopes have refractive glass and occasionally of plastic or quartz, to focus light into the eye or another light detector.
