Get a handful labeled diagrams of plant cell to assist your study more about plant cell anatomy. These cell diagrams are provided to guide you in studying the structure of the cell structures. These diagrams include some organs and can give you some detailed information about the structures of plant cell. The diagrams are provided in the following images.
As we have mentioned in the previous plant cell diagram post, the cells of plant are eukaryotic cells or cells with membrane bound nucleus. The most important distinctive structure of plant cell is the presence of the cell wall outside the cell membrane. It forms the outer lining of the cell. The cell wall mostly constitutes of cellulose and its main function is providing support and rigidity. Plants cell constitute of membrane bound nucleus and many cellular structures. These organelles carry out functions that are necessary for the proper functioning and survival of the cell. The cell organelles of the plant are enclosed by a cell wall and cell membrane. The constituents of the cell are suspended in the cytoplasm or cytosol. More diagrams of plant cell are provided in the following images.
Chloroplasts are surrounded by two membranes. The outer membrane is permeable to small organic molecules, whereas the inner membrane is less permeable and studded with transport proteins. The innermost matrix of chloroplasts, called the stroma, contains metabolic enzymes and multiple copies of the chloroplast genome. The cell wall surrounds the plasma membrane of plant cells and provides tensile strength and protection against mechanical and osmotic stress.
