New collection of printable Venn diagrams references are available in this post. Learn more about the set diagrams by following our examples below and we’ll start by giving you the first example of Venn diagram below.

A Venn diagram is a diagram representing mathematical or logical sets pictorially as circles or closed curves within an enclosing rectangle (the universal set), common elements of the sets being represented by the areas of overlap among the circle. In a simpler way, this diagram works as a way of picturing relationships between different groups of things. In the Venn Diagram above, there are two sets: addition and stigma, with one overlapping set becomes the stigma. More examples of the diagrams are in the following images.

Aside from the two circles, we also have the examples of the three circles Venn diagrams. These triple Venn diagrams are used to compare and contrast three themes, topics, or concepts. The center is the area of similarity for all three topics. The 3 circles Venn diagram below show that there are four areas of overlap. Three of them are logically similar in that they represent the overlap between two sets, whereas the section in the middle is the area of maximum overlap, all three sets. Examples of two circles Venn diagram excel are posted below.

Venn diagrams can be used to illustrate set relationships. In the blank templates above, you can make and customize your Venn diagrams with your own sets.
