Simple Ecosystem Diagram

Learn about the ecosystem by studying the schemes that we have in these ecosystem diagrams. Studying ecosystem might help you to understand and conserve your environment better, and how to live without intruding our ecosystem. The first diagram below shows you the basic ecosystem scheme.

As the system resulting from the integration of all living and non-living factors of the environment, ecosystem is an integral part of not just human’s life, but everything that does exist. An ecosystem must contain producers, consumers, decomposers, and dead and inorganic matter. An ecosystem has two major components: biotic and abiotic. Abiotic component of ecosystem includes basic inorganic elements and compounds, such as soil, water, oxygen, calcium carbonates, phosphates and a variety of organic compounds. The biotic components include all living organisms present in the environmental system. Study about that more in the following simple ecosystem diagrams.

There are many kinds of ecosystem diagram that we have here such as business ecosystem and marine ecosystem. The marine ecosystem is different from freshwater ecosystem mainly because of its salty water. In a marine ecosystem, the ecology of shallow and deep waters, as well as estuarine part, is different from each other. Each ocean in itself represents a very large and stable ecosystem. You can see it in the diagram below.

The structure of an ecosystem is basically a description of the organisms and physical features of an environment including the amount and distribution of nutrients in a particular habitat. Therefore, studying ecosystem is just as important as studying the other parts of nature. All of the diagrams are printable and you can find more of our educational diagrams in the other posts or categories!
