The cloud diagram above is the simple example of cloud computing. In the simplest terms, cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of our computer’s hard drive. The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet. It goes back to the days of flowcharts and presentations that would represent the gigantic server-farm infrastructure of the Internet as nothing but a puffy, white cumulus cloud, accepting connections and doling out information as it floats. For a more detailed illustration and explanation, follow the following series diagrams.

Private cloud is cloud infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, whether managed internally or by a third-party, and hosted either internally or externally. On the other hand, a cloud is called a “public cloud” when the services are rendered over a network that is open for public use. Many cloud providers can share information with third parties if necessary for purposes of law and order even without a warrant. That is permitted in their privacy policies, which users must agree to before they start using cloud services.
