Diagrams of muscular system are available in this page, providing you with clear diagrams of the human body muscles. Follow these diagrams to study more about the structures of the muscles and we’ll start by giving you the first muscle diagram below.
Muscles provide strength, balance, posture, movement and heat for the body to keep warm. There are three distinct types of muscles: skeletal muscles, cardiac or heart muscles, and smooth (non-striated) muscles. In the diagrams of muscular system below, shown more zoomed parts of the muscle.
Skeletal muscles are voluntary muscles that attach to, and contract to move the bones. Skeletal muscles often work in pairs. When one muscle is contracting, the other is relaxing. Tendons are grouped in both the skeletal system and the muscular system since they connect the two systems (connect muscle to bone). Meanwhile, heart muscles are distinct from skeletal muscles because the muscles fibers are laterally connected to each other.
All these muscle diagram images here are free and downloadable in printable quality. The last one above is the unlabeled version for any educational purpose. Find other anatomy structure diagrams in the other posts in this site!
